A TRUE PASSION FOR INTERIOR DESIGN

Michele Granda has a passion and dexterity for interior design in her genes. A native of New York City, Michele was strongly influenced by her mother and aunts from a young age. Michele’s mother, Patricia Haran, of whom the business is named after had an immense passion for design, as did her nine sisters. Patricia was particularly artistic and founded the firm in 1973. Haran Interiors was a small business in New York. In her free time from her seven children, Patricia was creating window treatments and upholstery for her local customers. Michele inherited her natural, artistic flair from her mother. However, Michele had originally begun her career in retail prior to taking over Haran Interiors.

Michele’s interest in interior design began in the early 1990s with her management position in retail at Laura Ashley. Michele’s foray into the world of Interior Design had originally began as a sideline business, designing and consulting for Laura Ashley customers who had asked for additional consultation. Clients immediately responded to Michele’s creativity, thus with increasing demand came the inception of Haran Interiors.

Michele has been a quiet leader in the industry for over twenty-five years and has vastly grown Haran Interiors. From just a small business in her home to a well distinguished and established organization specializing in high-end residential projects throughout the Northeast and South, Michele has made a lasting impression on all her clients.
